A sampled space, a classic plate, a modern hall, and a spring — under one set of knobs.

DreamLab Verb gives engineers a whole rack of reverbs in a single, consistent interface. Load your own impulse responses through a true-stereo partitioned convolver for photographic realism — or reach for the algorithmic side: a modulated studio plate with four vintage voicings, an eight-line feedback-delay-network hall, a dispersive spring tank, and gated and reverse engines. Every engine shares the same warmth chain, the same tonal shaping, and the same crystalline shimmer, so the controls feel identical whether you're placing a vocal in a real cathedral or building an ever-rising ambient pad from scratch.

Convolution — true-stereo partitioned convolver

Your own impulse responses, zero latency

Stream your own impulse responses through a real-time, gap-free convolver. Cathedrals, plates, classic hardware units, vintage chambers, guitar cabs — anything you've captured or licensed loads instantly, at zero latency.

  • Collapsible library tree — multiple folder roots, expandable groups, keyword filter
  • Category chips: Halls · Chambers · Rooms · Plates · Spaces · FX
  • Drag-and-drop a file or a whole folder straight onto the plugin
  • Per-IR cover art · reverse mode · sample-accurate loading
  • Libraries persist across sessions and machines (security-scoped)
Algorithm — six tunable engines, one menu

Not a preset pack — six hand-tuned algorithms

Six distinct algorithms, each voiced by hand, sharing the same shaping and shimmer as the convolver.

  • Modern Lush — wide, deeply modulated, full-bandwidth, tuned for bloom
  • Steel Plate — vintage steel-plate character: instant diffuse onset, frequency-dependent decay
  • Vintage Digital — the dark, chorusing late-'70s digital sound, early-converter "thickness" and all
  • Concert Hall — a clean, smooth hall with random, in-tune modulation
  • FDN Hall — 8-line feedback delay network with multiband decay
  • Spring — dispersive spring tank: the chirp, the boing, the boxy mid

Plus Gated and Reverse Swell tail engines, and a Parallel mode that runs the convolver and the algorithm at once, time-staggered so they never comb-filter.

One shared chain

Whichever engine you choose, it feeds the same warmth chain and tonal shaping — so the controls feel identical everywhere. Toggling engines shifts the UI's accent from mint (Convolution) to purple (Algorithm) to magenta (Parallel), so you always know which world you're in.
02 / Features

Tuned for the techniques engineers actually use.

F.01

Crystalline shimmer

The signature sound: a lush, long-decay reverb with an octave-up pitch shifter woven into the feedback loop, so the tail continually rises into a sparkling, synth-pad wash. A granular detune cloud spreads each shimmer voice into an evolving, choir-like spread that keeps even a heavy octave stack crystalline instead of metallic — the depth scales with the Shimmer knob, so clean settings stay clean and pushed settings open into fantasy overtones. Dual-voice (octave + a fifth above), bloom-ducked so the wash swells in behind your notes, and stereo all the way around the loop.

F.02

Multiband decay (FDN Hall)

Real spaces don't decay uniformly: bass rings longest, the top dies first. The FDN hall models exactly that, with independent decay rates per band — the difference between a flat, synthetic tail and a warm, three-dimensional one. The airy-top rolloff follows the Damping knob.

Eight-line feedback delay network · bass ≈ 1.5× the mids

F.03

Pre-Echo: delay into a hall

The classic 80s layering trick, built in. A tempo-syncable feedback delay feeds the reverb input, so the repeats get reverberated rather than just heard — a single note becomes a chain of blooms in the tail. Its own module on the control deck; the dry path stays clean.

Tempo-synced (1/16 … 1/2) or free · up to 95% regeneration

F.04

Freeze, Duck, and Panic

Performance controls borrowed from the boutique pedal world, so even huge settings stay playable and safe.

Freeze
Infinite hold

Lock a chord into an endless pad and play over it; the shimmer keeps climbing while it's held.

Duck
Wet-bus sidechain

The reverb dips while you play and blooms back in the gaps, so big settings stay usable in a dense mix.

Panic
Flush every tail

One button clears every feedback path instantly. No stuck tails, ever.

F.05

A full warmth chain, built in

Pre-reverb tape-style drive, a six-stage post-reverb EQ on the wet path, and a three-voice wet-bus chorus/ensemble. At 25–40% chorus it turns a static impulse into a shimmering, three-dimensional ensemble wash. Tempo-syncable pre-delay lands the onset on the grid.

Drive
Tape-style tanh clip

Even-order harmonics before the wet path. Bit-perfect bypass at zero.

Post EQ
Six-stage wet-path

Low-cut, low shelf, parametric mid, high shelf, high-cut, damping filter.

Ensemble
Three-voice chorus

Decorrelated wet-bus modulation. Mix=0 is true bypass.

Pre-delay
Up to 250 ms

Sample-accurate and tempo-syncable. Onset lands exactly where you place it.

F.06

Live reverb-tail visualizer

A live picture of the space sits at the top of the window. It shows the early-reflection zone and the late tail with a real time axis, and every moving element is driven by the audio: notes you play launch pulses and rings that travel down the tail and decay on the curve. Watching the actual tail of your sampled hall next to the curve you're dialling makes A/B decisions faster.

F.07

Mono-to-stereo aware

Insert on a mono source and still get a full, decorrelated stereo tail — perfect for mono vocals, spot mics, and DI guitars that need a three-dimensional space. Stereo in/out metering with peak hold flanks the visualizer.

F.08

Built like a shipping product

The unglamorous engineering that keeps it safe and clean: a final output sanitizer (no NaN, no speaker-killer pops), click-free smoothing on every gain stage, a click-free crossfaded bypass, an automatic runaway watchdog, and soft-saturated feedback paths. Sample-rate agnostic (44.1–192 kHz), zero latency, universal binary.
